Keeping up with the Kendricks

Trevor had recently moved to Washington D.C. to work for a political tech and marketing firm and Hunter was working on the Hill. In true D.C. politico fashion, they met at a D.C. Young Republicans Happy Hour event in Georgetown - Hunter thought Trevor was soooo cute and kept asking him to hang out with her :) They quickly found a lot of common interests and started attending events and concerts with mutual friends. 
 

After spending time as “friends” for a few months, eventually Trevor wised up and asked Hunter out on their first official date! Because they both love playing and listening to music, the Watermelon Bluegrass festival in Berryville, Virginia was a perfect evening. Trevor got to see his favorite artist, Billy Strings, the first night of the festival - which also happened to be the same night our wedding band, Dunlap and Mabe, played too!
 

On Hunter’s birthday weekend, Trevor surprised her with a romantic getaway to the Salamander Resort in Middleburg, Virginia. The third time must be the charm, because even though the 2020 Watermelon Fest was canceled (Engagement Plan A), and Engagement Plan B was ruined by an unexpected hurricane, he certainly made up for it! 
The night before he popped the question, they enjoyed a romantic meal at the Red fox Inn and Hunter kept thinking it might happen that night….but Trevor kept her in suspense! He made her wait until after breakfast the next day, then as they were walking in the gardens he proposed. Maggie May was very excited for them too!
 

Hunter’s ring has been in her family for 5 generations. Her mom had the original design replicated by a jewelers in New York and used Hunter’s late grandfather’s gold wedding ring melted down for the setting.
